Whenever I go to print from the internet, the message "COM Surrogate has stopped working" comes up. It only happens when I try to print. Any help on this?This message only comes up when I am trying to print from the internet.

I can print from all my other programs. I have not seen this message anywhere else yet. Also, I noticed that all the answers I could find refer to Vista.I am Windows 7. When I'm looking at photos with the Windows photo viewer, occasionally that "Com Surrogate" error will pop up. I noticed this for the first time this past weekend (I've never seen this error in the past) so - like you - I was alsowondering if this could be the result of a bug in a recent Windows update.-Steve Just thought I combofix com surrogate jpeg jpeg let you know that my "COM surrogate has stopped working" issue had to do with my XPS Document writer not working correctly.

I uninstalled it and reloaded the driver and printer and now everything is fine. You all might want to checkyou XPS jepg to make sure it is okay. Thanks GaryI now have the same problem. Using Win7 Pro. I have not installed any new software except for Surrotate Updates.

Last update was an Intel display driver "Intel Combofiix Graphics 3000" and the .NET Framework 4 stuff. Turning off DEP for dllhost.exe did not combfoix was able to resolve the issue by rolling back to the previous Intel display driver. Not an optimal solution, but it resolves the annoying "COM Surrogate" error until Intel can fix the bug in their driver.
